My name is Andrei, 37M, from Latvia.
I’ve recently picked up streaming video games as a hobby. And it has been rough. I’m an introvert who is not used to entertaining an audience, and so it is hard for me to be on stream on my own, all by myself, with nobody to talk to.
Talked to a number of more experienced streamers (I do interviews) and they said to find friends first. They said that having friends on your streams would make a world of a difference, especially for someone shy and insecure like me.
So right now I am actively looking to make new friends online. I am hoping to find people who just like to talk, people who know how to keep a conversation going. It doesn’t even matter if we have anything in common, as long as we get along and enjoy talking to each other.
One other thing to know about me is that I struggle with mental health. I have clinical depression, which makes it hard to find motivation, hard to find a video game that I actually enjoy, hard to reach out to people. Thankfully, my new hobby of streaming and interviewing streamers is giving me a productive routine, it is keeping me active, engaged, immersed in the process. So, this has been actually good for me.
Current interests: video games, streaming, interviewing people.
Former interests: travel, meditation, philosophy, psychology, classical music, movies, TV-shows, anime, writing, reading.
If you want to know even more about me, then feel free to read my blog. It may have some insights into my process, my thinking, my motivation.
And if you’ve read all the way up till now and still want to be friends with me, then add me on Discord and we can talk there – in text chat and then in voice chat. My Discord username is: monasticgamer
